The opening of “The Mystery of Beauty – The Art of Capturing Portraits” at the PIASA
Gallery in New York City was an unforgettable evening that brought together artists, art
lovers, and members of the Polish-American community.
Curated and organized with the support of Mariusz Bargielski, the exhibition presented the
photographic works of Piotr Powietrzyński, whose artistry explores the essence of beauty
through the timeless medium of portraiture. Each image captured not only the visual form
but also the emotional depth of the subjects — a dialogue between light, identity, and the
human soul.
The vernissage was more than an art event; it was a warm celebration of creativity,
friendship, and cultural connection. Guests filled the gallery with conversations, laughter,
and genuine admiration for the subtle power of film photography and its ability to preserve
authenticity in a digital age.
